Sri Radhakrishna Murthy Dhara was born on 12th August 1935. He was born as the second son of Sri Venkateswara Sastry Dhara and Smt. Satyavatamma of Guntur. During his studies in the bachelor’s degree in the Hindu college, Guntur, he came into contact with Sriman E.Krishnamacharya (Master E.K.) and became one of his disciples. Later he did his post-graduation in English Literature in Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He got his PhD also from the same university. He worked as lecturer in English in the Government colleges and finally retired as Principal in 1994. He was an ardent follower of Master E.K and got initiated into Vedic literature and Homoeopathic science by Master EK. He was a poet in Telugu and English languages, and also composer of playlets. Also he was initiated into a new type of presentation of drama along with his elder brother Sri Ramanadha Sastry and this process later became famous as “Natyavadhana”. This new dimension was visualised by Master EK. Dhara brothers were the first group of disciples to receive this art from Master. Radhakrishna Murthy dedicated his whole life in making deep study and research into the works of Master E.K. and subsequently produced several books in English & Telugu. He also wrote wonderful book in Telugu projecting many dimensions from the life of Master E.K.
