Dr. Seshagiri Rao Pochiraju was born in Doddavaram, which was a small village in konaseema of Andhra Pradesh in 1924. Sri Subba Rao and Smt. Satyavati were his parents. He made his higher study in Sri Venkateswara Oriental college, Tirupati. During his studentship in the college he became disciple of Sri Veturi Prabhakara Sastry (Master V.P.S.) and was initiated by him into the Yoga of Master C.V.V. He was attending to the prayers of Master C.V.V. regularly in the presence of his guru, Master V.P.S. during his stay in Tirupati. Later he started his career as teacher in the Oriental schools in different towns. Afterwards he did his M.A. in Telugu literature in Andhra University. After that he got appointed as lecturer in Telugu and became head of the department in 1967 at Maharani college, Peddapuram and got retired. During his career he did his research work on the literary excellence of Sri Veturi Prabhakara Sastry and was awarded with PhD. He was writer, poet, critic and researcher in Telugu literature. During his spiritual career he came closer to Sri Kotha Ramakotaiah who was also an ardent disciple of Master V.P.S. After the passing away of Master V.P.S., he came into contact with Master E.K. through Sri Ramakotaiah. Along with him he experienced the presence of his guru Master V.P.S. while he was in the physical presence of Master E.K. He got deeply impressed through his insight into the life of Master E.K. and wrote a very inspiring and elevating book in Telugu exposing several dimensions from the life of Master E.K. This book was named as “Visishtayogi Master EK”. This book unveils many inner dimensions of Master EK.
